Rainbow after a storm

This sweet family touched my heart on a more personal level than most. They lost their first son a couple of years prior and adorable Jeremiah is their rainbow baby! I, unfortunately, know a small bit about what that loss feels like having very close family that have lost as well. It is a time of sadness, confusion, anger, and the whole world feels dark, but slowly, with the help of prayer and time, light starts to come back through after the storm and sometimes that light brings a rainbow along with it!

Baby Jeremiah is this family’s rainbow, and what a BEAUTIFUL one he is! He was an absolute joy to work with and I could not only see but feel the love that his parents have for him. They look at him with ultimate adoration in their eyes and I loved being able to bear witness to that. Our session included a posed session and lifestyle and I am so glad that they decided to do both! Mom sent me some inspiration pictures for the rainbow photo and I LOVED what we came up with! We were able to capture him from all angles and capture the love they all have for each other. We got some beautiful images from this session and I am so excited to have them for my portfolio!

I wanted to make this session one that they would treasure for the rest of their lives and make it as memorable as I could. I have always been told and heard it said that God works in mysterious ways, and I know that there is nothing that anyone can say or do to ease the pain of such a loss, but I hope that this session brought some healing to this much deserving family. I know that it has helped me and I hope and pray that we can all find the joy that this life has to offer and never stop looking for rainbows after a storm.
